The date of this piece comes from the fact that 1968 was the last year that Dunn Bennett in Burslem England operated under that name (it was absorbed into the Royal Doulton Company) and the first year Royal Caribbean began operations. For the two to have coincided, it must have been that same year. The only flaw I could see was at the top of the handle. Whether that was during manufacturing or through handling, I don\'t know. I felt no flaking in that area. No other defects in the ironstone were seen. No chips. No crazing.
