Listed for sale is an original vintage (1970\'s, perhaps 1980\'s) Herman Miller Eames lounge chair and ottoman. The set is in excellent condition and hasbeautiful brazillian rosewood panels combined with supple Herman Miller cushions. The Herman Miller label is still present on thechair and is the black, rectangular label. The chair also has rectangular black clips as is consistent with chairs of this vintage.
Cushions:
They are soft and properly plump for a chair of this vintage. The seat cushion and ottoman are both in remarkably great shape for their age and overall, only a couple of light scratches can be found. No tears or rips are present on any of the cushions. The armrests show slightly heavier wear than the other cushions as is shown in the photos, however, have been conditioned in order to prevent any further wear from dryness.
Wood:
The rosewood shells are in excellent condition. There are some minor nicks, but no notable chips or anything along those lines.
Shock Mounts:
The shock mounts are in great shape and the chair still holds strong.
Bases and Metal
The aluminum bases are in great condition. The feet move nicely, paint is all there, and aluminum looks great.
The buyer may pick up the set, have it shipped by me (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the sale.
