This item is a beautiful limited edition collectible plate from the Hopi tribe, Kachina Morning. It is serial number 1127 - 1972. Trimmed in 21K gold. This Kachina symbolizes the coming of dawn ceremonies relating to this Kachina are marked by chance and the sound of copper Bells. Some of the Bells used by the morning Kachina impersonators were brought in by Spanish Padres in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Many Hopis consider this one of their most handsome kachinas.
