Vintage 1976 Wall Hanging Far Out Skateboarder My Hero Football Player Plaster:
$7.99
Up for offer here is a unique piece of 1970\'s Vintage Wall Hanging Art. You\'ll actually get two wall hanging pieces that go together. You\'ve got a \"My Hero\" football player and a \"Far Out\" skateboarder. They are made out of some kind of plaster or ceramic composite material. I can\'t figure out who actually made them. The 1976 copyright date on each one is easy to see but I can\'t make out the name engraved in the edges of these art pieces. These wall hanging art pieces look handmade and hand-painted but again I\'m not exactly sure what I brought home from an sale here. They look like some cool art pieces most at home in a teenager\'s bedroom. They are fairly heavy. The football player one measures roughly 16-1/8 inches by 6-3/4 inches and the skateboarder one measures roughly 14 inches by 8 inches. They have hangers on them so they are made to hang on a wall. They were originally given as a Christmas gift in 1977 according to what is written on the back of one of them.
As far as condition goes, the painted figure artwork part looks very good. I don\'t see much wrong with that. There is a little chip on the side of the football player one. It\'s to the right of the football. But, it just chips off and goes from an off-white to more of a white underneath so it isn\'t super noticeable and it\'s not on the actual player. I see some minor chips on the skateboarder\'s wall hanging piece. There\'s one little chip on his t-shirt and his blond air has a piece or two of paint chipped out. But, these issues aren\'t very noticeable and don\'t detract much from the look of the art piece in my opinion. There are a couple of little chips along the edge on the backside of these pieces but they don\'t hurt much back there.
Again, I can\'t make out who made these. I\'ve described them about as well as I can. They look pretty good to me. So, I\'ll just say Happy offerding!
