Native American Indian Kachina doll I personally purchased in the mid 1980\'s when I lived in Arizona. They all have handwritten name of the American Indian that crafted the item written on the bottom of the base. These are 15 years old and are in great condition but some of the feathers are worn or tattered. You can buy a bag of feathers at a local arts and crafts store and easily glue new feathers on if you wanted to.
Hopi katsina figures (Hopi language: tithu or katsintithu), also known as kachina dolls are figures carved, typically from cottonwood root, by Hopi people to instruct young girls and new brides about katsinas or katsinam, the immortal beings that bring rain, control other aspects of the natural world and society, and act as messengers between humans and the spirit world.
