Vintage 2.24ct White Near Colorless Round Sapphire Victorian 1900 Platinum Ring This is not the largest or most expensive jewel we have but it is one of the finest. Built with true quality in mind not quantity. Sapphires can be altered in many ways to artificially enhance color and clarity. A gem lab certificate is necessary to determine if the stone has been treated and how. Almost all Sapphires are low level heated at the mine to stabilize the stone. This is called simple heat or TE1. The color is still considered natural. Roughly 98% of all Sapphire falls in this category. Natural no heat Sapphire is very rare and is all natural. High heat or diffusion treated Sapphire has be altered to different color enhancement. Super rare simple heat only very very light blue Sapphire old European cut in it\'s original hand made Platinum ring. Circa 1900. Some gemologist feel white Sapphires that show a light color tone have been subjected to low level heat within the earth and retain the light color but test as low level heated.
