This listing is for a vintage pocket knife manufactured sometime in the 1940\'s. This was a promotional knife made for Gables Auto Parts Inc of New York. Old telephone number dates it to the 1940\'s. It has rare slanted bolsters.
Maker is unknown but the blades scream HAMMER BRAND so I\'m thinking it\'s either a Hammer Brand knife or the company that made it got the blades from Hammer unstamped.Knife Frame is 3-1/4\" long. It has 2 blades. Main blade is 2-3/4\" in length.
It has Composite Pearl handles that are not cracked nor appear to be damaged in any way. The promotional wording is still crisp and clear with virtually no fading.
I found this at a local estate sale.
Knife can be cleaned up or it can be left as it is to make a perfect addition to your knife collection.Even after 70+ years, it\'s still tough enough to be used for whittling and camp/fishing duties. Will make a GREAT Father\'s Day Gift.
