Friends, this listing is for a Vintage 22k Yellow Gold Enamel Miniature 3D EGYPTIAN SCARAB Charm with a CARTOUCHE Design containing an elaborate set of HIEROGLYPHICS on the reverse. Beautifully and finely crafted front and back, it comes with its original gold connecting ring that has a Maker\'s stamp, otherwise it\'s unmarked. Unfortunately, someone in the past soldered the ring shut with silver solder and covered over the Maker\'s stamp/Gold punch mark and it\'s now unreadable. However, it tests positive as 22k gold and I believe was made in Egypt.Compare it to other Egyptian style charms I am listing for sale in my store! SCARAB SYMBOLISM

For these reasons the scarab was seen as a symbol of this heavenly cycle and of the idea of rebirth or regeneration. The Egyptian god Khepri, Ra as the rising sun, was often depicted as a scarab beetle or as a scarab beetle-headed man. The ancient Egyptians believed that Khepri renewed the sun every day before rolling it above the horizon, then carried it through the other world after sunset, only to renew it, again, the next day.The Charm is in FAIR to GOOD condition with NORMAL signs of wear including a tiny bit of missing enamel for its age. It measures approximately 5/8 inches long, 3/8 inches wide and 1/8 inch thick.
