A delightful Silver Plated Tea Set by Elkington.
From the 1930\'s & classic Art Deco styling.
The set comprises of a Tea Pot, open Sugar Bowl and small Milk Jug.
Made in England. It is stamped with the maker mark as well as the number 37173 under each piece.
The items are all nice and clean both inside and out.The set would have been designed for one or two people as it is quite small. The tea pot measures 12cm high x 25cm long. Both the handle and knob are wooden and the lid is hinged with a step-tier designed top. It has a capacity of around 850ml.
The milk jug is 6cm x 10cm and the open sugar bowl has a diameter of 9cm and with the handles measures 15cm wide by 6cm high. The combined weight of the set is 760 grams without any packaging. (All measurements are approximate.)As to be expected from a vintage item there are some slight marks and signs of previous use but nothing too serious. There is no loss of silver plate but one or two surface scratches.This quality set would turn and day into a special occasion.
