Vintage 40\" Red Blue Swirl Clear Thick Glass Circus Pimp Walking Cane Unusual :

This cane has a body of Clear Glass with very fine red, green, and blue ribbons of colored glass embedded within the shaft over the entire length of the cane. The green and blue swirls seem to really pop in the light. The cane measures 40\" in total length.

Condition is Very Good. No chips or cracks. There is one tiny spot where ribbon of color is missing and some superficial scratches. See photos. Its all very tiny and not noticeable.

In the late 19th / early 20th century glassmakers ended their work day by creating a variety of objects from the leftover materials used for making other glass wares. They would create these beautiful canes to show off their skills. Since they are fragile natured, canes were rarely used for walking although they were occasionally used ceremonially in parades. Glass canes were rarely documented to their maker.
