Click to View Image Album Vintage PIERROT DE PIERRE Music Box measures 5-1/2\" tall and 4-1/2\" in diameter at the base; it plays \"Invitation to the Waltz\". It is marked on the underside \"Pierrot de Pierre\", and the original sticker on the underside reads: \"Sankyo - Made in Japan - No. B-568-003 - Invitation to the Waltz\". The inside base has a signature, but I cannot make it out. The image inside the star-studded dome is that of a little clown cranking a shaft that rotates a colorful, striped umbrella - very cute! Condition shows the following: If you enlarge the photos and take a good look at the first image, you will see a break in one of the white plastic rings on one end of the shaft - the mechanism still works properly; and evidently this flaw has not affected the mechanical workings of the music box.
