Beautiful piece of art!!!
The bark cloth is like dense handmade paper. It is made from the bark of a Mulberry tree. The designs are created by a combination of stamping, stenciling and freehand painting using varies local dyes.
I say this is \"Fijian\" because the designs are the same as many of the Fijian tapa masi designs that I\'ve seen. I\'m not the original owner. I got it from an Air Force veteran (now deceased) who was stationed in Asia and the South Pacific.
