Description
An absolutely exquisite original 1950’s strapless dress in an ethereal combination of baby pink chiffon and creamy ivory lace.This would make a fabulous wedding or prom gown – certainly lovely enough for a very special occasion. The style typifies the 50’s - oh so feminine and figure flattering – narrow boned bodice perfect to accentuate a narrow waist – with a twirling full skirt. Maker’s label reads “Cotillion Formals”. I have sold several dresses with this label and have been very pleased with the quality of construction and materials used. No fabric contents label but this is a synthetic, likely nylon blend.
Note the special details on this wonderful dress – strapless (boned) form fitting bodice in soft baby pink chiffon with embroidered lace trim, rear scarf treatment, and especially the wonderfully full multilayered skirt decorated with lace trim. This skirt has three layers – a lining in matching shell pink satin acetate, a middle layer of tiered baby pink tulle for extra volume, with a top layer of chiffon trimmed with embroidered lace. Note the dress is photographed using a crinoline to show the skirt to full advantage – the crinoline is not included.
The dress closes down the side with a hidden metal zipper and fastener. The entire dress is lined in pink satin acetate.
No vintage size label , so please see measurements below for a proper fit. This is an extra small size which would only fit a modern size 0.

Condition
This dress is in excellent vintage condition. No holes or stains and underarms are clean. I found very few of the snags or picks typical of chiffon dresses of this era. No significant exterior defects to note. There is some minor soiling (splashes) on the lower hemline of the skirt lining, which is not visible through the outer layers of chiffon and tulle.

I cannot accept returns for items that do not fit – measurements are taken carefully so please ensure that these match your own before offerding.

Shipping
Unless otherwise requested, all Canadian and US shipments will be shipped airmail via Canada Post, which includes insurance up to $100. The shipping price below applies to Canada and US shipments only. I do not charge handling fees so all prices reflect actual mailing costs.
International buyers are welcome. International shipments will be priced on an individual basis and generally will be higher. If you would like an international shipping quote before offerding, please send me an email. Insurance is recommended on international shipments, as I cannot be responsible for loss or damaged parcels if insurance is not purchased.
