One of the best novelty skirts I\'ve ever come across. This is an incredible vintage 1950s full cream skirt with a three dimensional/kinetic Christmas theme.

The skirt has a wide waistband that curves up slightly in the front and center. It is full - I used a petticoat to fill it out for the photos - it is not included in the sale.

The front of the skirt is appliqued with a hot pink (!!!) reindeer with a green holly and purple/plum/blue ornament wreath, with a purple velvet bow. His big black antlers are decorated with dangling Christmas ornaments in pinks, green, yellow, purple, and blue. They\'re decorated with contrasting rick-rack, and or gold trim. The ornaments are three dimensional, attached to the antlers with gold cord. I love the way the antlers wrap around the skirt so the skirt is fantastic from every angle.

This is very much in the style of Juli Lynne Charlot, but I personally think this is better than many of her designs.

The skirt and the appliques are felt - wool I believe.

Closures: Metal zipper and hooks and eyes in the back.

Lining: The waistband is lined with cream acetate.

Condition: Very good/good. Tthe exterior is very good - there are some moth nibbles and faint spots - most noticeable are some tan spots in the front at the hem (see photo), and several areas that look almost blue, from moth damage on the inside (see photos). There are also some pencil point faint brown spots, and three moth holes - two in the back that are around 1/4\" and one in the front that\'s about 1/3\" (hard to see because it\'s right under the black antler). There is more significant moth damage on the inside - see the bottom 3 photos of some of the worst of it. It sounds like a lot but this skirt has so much going for it that these flaws don\'t detract from it.
