Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a really nice vintage chalkware lamp. Circa 1950s. The lamp base features a series of chartreuse and gray egrets (birds) that are slightly raised fromthe rest of the base. They give the lamp a nice dimensionalquality by adding depth. There may be manufacturer information under the felt on thebottom side of the base - we didn\'t attempt to remove it to check. The lamp still retains its original Underwriter\'s Laboratories label by the socket (see photo).
Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 29.75\" tall. The height measures from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 19\". The chalkware portion of the base measures approx. 15\" tall x 7\" wide (at its widest point towards the lowerportion of the base) x 5.5\" deep.
Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good, all-original vintage condition. The base shows one small area towards the bottom left side of the base where there is a tiny amount of color that has rubbed off (see photo) - it can easily be touched up or left alone - we choose to leave it in the condition in which we acquired it as it does not detract. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. to the base - it\'sin great shape. As for the wiring, it is original to the lamp and it is in goodcondition - no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully functioning, working order; however, as with all vintage lighting, we\'d recommend having it checked by a licensedprofessional prior to long-term use.
