Vintage 1960’s MIJ Teisco Del Rey in great condition.As best as I can determine this is around 50 years old. I’ve owned it for thelast 25 years.

More than just a cool wall hanger or nostalgia piece,this guitar is actually playable, with a great setup and low action. Truss rodworks, neck is straight, frets in good condition with no divots. (Bear in mindthese came from the factory with low frets to begin with.)

I’ve given this what I call the “Jazzmaster” setup- I’veshimmed the neck slightly to increase the break angle and downpressure of thestrings at the bridge. Sustain is noticeably improved and bridge rattlesreduced.

The pickups were also shimmed with foam pads to raisetheir height to match the new string angle. All of these adjustments arereversible if you want to- but why would you want to?

The pickups were also wax potted at some point, asthey’re less microphonic and squealy than a lot of others I’ve seen and played,while still retaining that great gold-foil-style sound. I’ve used this on gigsthrough a Marshall half-stack. Sounds great through a Big Muff.

Trem arm is a replacement as the previous ownerremoved and promptly lost it. Stays in tune well, within the limitations of anon-locking system.

Everything works as it should- tuners, truss rod,pickups, electronics. Still has the original \"Teisco Del Rey\" headstock logo, which tended to fall off over the years on a lot of these guitars.
