Up for sale is an old estate found Italian pewter art vase or ewer. I don\'t know the exact age but it has abeautiful artnouveau style with embossedpoppies seeming to grow from the base up the trunk to a flower formed lip at the top. The pewter has a great patina an the ewer looks great.It is 9\" high and about 5\" wide at the bulbous base (the flower on top is ovaland is 3\" wide x 2 1/4\" wide). As stated, it does have some small surface scratches on the back and lower side of the bulbous base also 2 shallow dents on the lower left base (about half the size of a dime). The embossing and mold in imperfections and therepositionmake these harder to notice. The base is marked but thestriking is weak on one side, it reads: \"Peltro Sud M -95%- N\" (can\'t read the rest). As you can see this is a very striking piece.
