A stunning vintage solid 9ct Gold \'Order of the Eastern Star\' swivel Signet Ring, which is stamped with the maker\'s mark \'J.H.W\' inside the band; it is fully hallmarked confirming that it is made from solid 9ct Gold and that it was assayed in Birmingham in 1973(please seethe detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of theitem\'s description).
The ring has a beautifully enamelled bezel with the Order of the Eastern Star set into the Gold oval swivel bezel, which turns to convert this fine quality ring into a conventional signet ring, The plain side of the bezel is free of inscriptions and the ring has not been personalised in any way.
Overall the ring is in superb vintage condition with only wear commensurate with age; the hallmark is still crisp and clear and this is indicative of how little this superb ring has been worn and the fine condition of this ring.On close inspection with a loupe there is a superficial pin hole mark to the surface of the gold (an air bubble in the gold during the casting process), which I have shown in the photographs that were taken at x10 magnification (this is barely visible to the naked eye and won\'t really be noticed - morementioningfor descriptivecompleteness).
This fabulous vintage ring weighs a substantial 4.1 grams and is sized as a UK Ring Size \'P\', which equates to a US Ring Size \'7 3/4\'.
