The watch is in full working order and keeps very good time (+-1 min a day).

The case measures approx 1.95\" (4.9cm) in diameter.

The movement bears the details; \"VERTEX Revue - Swiss Made - 15 Jewels - 31.\"Ernest Jack Holford-Strevens served in the First World War with the Kings Royal Rifle Corps.
In 1954 he was joint controller of the Board of Trade and the Ministry of supply in the North West Region.
His C.B.E. was awarded in the 1954 New years\'s honours list.
This watch was awarded to him by his colleagues just over a week after the announcement.The enamel dial has some hairline damage.The 9ct \'pop\' open hallmarked case is in a good general condition with some use related wear and a ding to the rear cover.
It bears a full set of Birmingham 9ct gold Hallmarks for 1952 (C).Please take a look at the photos as they form part of the description.
