Vintage AURORE Binoculars 8x26 magnification made in France leather case, straps:

These vintage binoculars with their original leather case were in my 92-year-old aunt\'s home. I do not know the exact age but from the quality build of the binoculars and the look and feel of the case, I imagine they are from the 1940s or 1950s.
She was a global traveler and may have carried them with her on one of her many trips to Alaska, China, Australia, the American West, the wilds of Canada or elsewhere around the world. She also enjoyed watching birds from her home.
The binoculars are in fine working order and the lenses don\'t seem to be scratched in any way. I did not attempt to clean them. A bit of the cover is beginning to lift - see photo - but I would imagine some high quality glue like E6000 would take care of that.
Otherwise, these are in excellent, original, vintage condition with a heavy leather case to protect them.
I know nothing more about them. They are marked Lightweight 8 x 26, Aurore, Made in France.
