Highly energetic abstraction with thick passages of applied impasto. Areas of pigment are applied with both brush and palette knife. Fluttering dabs of color appear spontaneously generated in this whirling masterwork of pure energy. Deep violet passages merge seamlessly with pale aqua and deep cerulean, over a creamy white field of lush, heavily textured brushwork. Outstanding in both color and composition.
Oil painting on masonite. This is a very heavy work, as it is on masonite, mounted on a wooden stretcher. Simple Modern wood frame with gilded edge. Excellent condition. Signed and dated at lower right - Cramer 64\'Large scale: Measures 36.5\" x 24.5\" in thin frame.
