My family purchased this back in England when I was just a young boy (60 yrs old now) and it has been in the family ever since. On the back it is marked as being a 1900\'s English Railway Signal Box and that is about as much as I know about it. Comes in a wooden box with a glass front and appears to work but is untested so sold as-is, very cool and decorative and I haven\'t been able to find another quite like it.
I am told ... This is a distant signal repeater used so that the signalman can confirm that the signal has actually moved to the correct position.
This particular one is post 1927 and was manufactured until the 50s due to the arm being yellow (previously distant signals were red the same as stop signals)
