description:This Grandmother\'s Flower Garden quilt top is an estate find and consists of some wonderful original feed sack prints. The pattern is in larger in scale than I have seen with each completed square measuring about 18\" across and each \'flower\' consisting of 19 - 3 1/2\" pieces. There are 20 squares sewn together and four that have not been attached. To complete it, you would need a few more center pink pieces I believe. What is wonderful about this top are the patterns! I have taken a number of photos for you to get a good idea of the variety as well as the craftsmanship of this top. It measures about 56\" x 80\" but that varies depending on where you are measuring. There are some fabrics that have been machine sewn together to make an piece large enough for the pattern (see photos) but otherwise, all is hand stitched at about 6 neat stitches per inch.
condition:This top has been stored well and is in good, clean vintage condition. There are no odors and the fabric integrity is excellent. There are no appreciable stains, rips or other problems. I see no reason this top could not be completed and be absolutely stunning!
