Vintage Antique Cast Metal “Birdie” Duck Ashtray 1920’s

Antique Vintage cast metal open-mouthed duck or baby birdashtray circa 1920’s. I think that it was intended to be an ashtray. Hasmissing paint and crack in the metal on one side & dent on top of head. Coldpainted black with some red around the beak and inside. Measuresapprox. 3 ½” tall, 2 ¾” wide from wing to wing, 3 ½” long from beak to tailfeather. Weighs 15 oz. before packaging. Embossedon the bottom it says \"Birdie - Reg. - U.S. Patent 364.524\". It alsohas the letters \"E & J B\" with each letter encased in a square.The cast metal is a shiny silver color.It does NOT react to a magnet and is heavy for its size.
