I honestly can\'t tell whether these are carnelian or Peking glass beads. I would have thought glass, but if you notice in the close up pictures, there seems to be variegation or veining which makes me think stone. They are definitely older vintage and carved into raspberry shapes. I\'ve sometimes seen them called nipple beads as well. Beads that look very much like these are listed for $10. per bead right now on (2Vintage Translucent Orange Nipple Pattern Chinese Peking Glass Trade Beads #144). This strand has 79 beads ranging from approximately 5mm - 12mm, is 20\" long, weighs 33 grams, and has a gold screw type barrel clasp.
