Very rare Disney collectible from the 1930\'s
I believe this Mickey Mouse popcorn popper was made by Ohio Art around 1936
The handle is made of metal - handle slides back and forth which allows the top half of Mickey\'s body to move up and down--lower half of body is in a fixed position--litho is painted on both sides of Mickey - mesh screen dome on basket is nice and round - metal rim on base of mesh/screen dome is painted red - locking device on basket is metal with a little red painted wooden knob - pan on basket shows signs of usage both on the bottom of the pan and inside the pan - when the mesh/screen dome is lifted it wobbles back and forth a bit but this seems to be a result of the original design rather than damage
This beautiful popcorn popper is overall in remarkably good condition for its age - although there is some paint loss on Mickey, the red painted basket rim and the little red knob, the colors are still bright and vivid and, for the most part, the paint is invery good condition considering the age of this piece - wear consistent with normal usage and storage - some oxidation on all metal pieces - some rust here and there (front part of Mickey\'s yellow \"foot\" on one side--spot on one side of metal handle in particular) - handle slides back and forth without difficulty - aside from wiping away the layer of dust which had accumulated on the interior of the pan, no attempts have been made to clean the popcorn popper

20\" long when measured from tip of wooden knob to back of handle
5\" high from base of basket to top of mesh/screen dome
8-1/2\" wide at widest point on basket
Not perfect by any means but still areally wonderful old Disney collectible piece!
