Highly sought after vintage A.W.S. Federal Style Andirons. Gold tone over Brass.
Large at 19.5\"x 8\"x 17\". Approx 7 pounds each. The long iron wood support holders are marked A.W.S. and 100L and 101R. These have terrific appeal but do show wear. They appear to be Gold tone over Brass.
I took multiple pictures for your consideration. I only gently cleaned. Areas that had what appeared to be tarnish or rusting, I gently went over with a brass cleaner and it did show normal black clean off. Most areas on andirons which are bright and shiny look to have had a gold tone coating of some type. Just not sure.
Please look over pictures carefully, as I shot from all angles. Use super zoom feature to get a good close up look.
They look great in front of any fireplace, but they are not perfect.
Compare to recent sales of similar andirons above $150. I am discounting price as items are not perfect & need a thorough cleaning.
We ship quickly & with care. I will try and ship these with long irons unscrewed from vertical fronts. Should go back together easier. It is just safer to send apart.
