Vintage ANTIQUE Hand Set Feed Sack MOTHER GOOSE Variation QUILT, Good Condition:

This quilt is truly old, probably 1940\'s or so. The fabrics used for the top are feed sack scraps, as far as we can tell, and they were set by hand. The quilting was done also by hand in a beautiful, geometric scalloped pattern known as \"arc pattern\".
The batting is medium thick, and it is 100% cotton of course. The backing is off-white and made of corn feed or wheat sack scraps.
This is a somewhat rustic quilt, but expertly done by the makers, intended we are certain for utilitarian use at home, for the enjoyment of the family, not for sale or even gifting. It is a true work of folk art. It might have been thought of as a comforter, given it weighs 4 lbs 13 oz, almost 5 lbs, un-boxed, just the quilt: it is heavy for such a small size.
The pattern is similar to Mother Goose, but it probably has a different name. It might be one of the \"mosaic\" patterns that appear on Lady Art Company, we are not sure.
It measures approximately 76\" by 62\" across. The bed is a queen, 80\" by 60\".
