AntiqueVintage handmade quilt. This antique quilt has two patterns, the 8pointed which is the Turkey Red star or Le Moyne Star or DiamondStar. The Turkey Red of mid 1800s to early mid 1900s. The green is faded (probably a medium green originally) which happens when the fabrics are plant/vegetable dyed and washing and sun and just time fades it away. The green staris the Star Of Hope, it consists of 4 sections jointed together tocreate the block.Stitchedwith red cotton thread, 9-11 spi. The reverse side of quilt fabric madefrom about 1860-1890 but likely about 1875. Has blackfabric with tiny flora prints. The back was brought to the front forthe binding, the binding is attached.Displaysvery well.Thisbeauty would bring charm to any decor. Excellent additiontoyour collection.

CONDITION: This quilt has NOT been laundered. It\'s up to new owner to laundry. Top row 3rd star there’s small ink mark that has bleed on quilt, has snag on bottom edge. She has been used,thegreen has faded, has some wear/worn areas.Very nice quilt. Pictures are part of condition & description.
