Vintage Tsarist Russiaamber Easter egg.

The egg is decoratedwith massive silver. The silver hasthe necessary marks which indicate the material type, the master-producer andthe year. The stand of the amber egg is in the shape of stylized lion legs.

There is a monogram inthe middle of one of the egg sides with initials “Х В” (it is in Cyrillic) whichmeans “ХРИСТОС ВОСКРЕСЕ” (a typicalgreeting for Easter which means “Christ is risen”). On the other side of theegg there is the Russian Imperial coat of arms.

On top of the amberegg there is a cross which is decorated with rubies and on the back side of this cross there is a handwritteninscription “СПАСИ СОХРАНИ” (whichmeans „Save and conserve”).

There is a real bee inside the amber of the egg(look at the pictures) which makes this egg UNIQUE OF ITSELF.
