Bornin 1952, this was my personal toy ARMY Replica Toy as a youth.
It is madeby Marx Toys and is Made of Plastic and Metal
( Probably Late 50\'s - Early 60\'s )

The30”Toy Rifleis in Very Good Condition
Authentic Looking with a Nice Faux \"Wood Grain\" Pattern
Bolt: \"Loads\" Toy Bullet when Closed, then \"Ejects\" *Toy Bullet when
Bolt Action Lever is Opened
Just 2Small cracks in the front eyelets where the Strap Attaches
(no affect on strap or operation of toy)
Cap Mechanism pulls down for loading of roll caps.
There is very little rust in the Roll Cap mechanism.
It looks mostly surface, (I\'ve cleaned off some),
The rest should clean up well. (see pixs)
NOTE: **8/31/14 Note: Cap firing mechanism works properly,
but trigger \"return\" is sticky,, may need cleaning or oiling.**

Ihave described this as \"RARE*\" for a number of reasons:
1.I could not find 1 other toy gun identical this listed on
2.This Marx Toy Springfield Rifle Replica is approximately 54 years old.
3.This is a \"full child size\" toy.. about 30 Inches inLength
4.This is a toy that children, like myself, played with outside
that typically was destroyed through normal wear and tear.
5.The main \"wear & tear\" to the toy is the small amount of surface ruston
the metal parts of the cap gun section.. that withsanding - cleaning
this gun could easily be returned to near perfectcondition.
Note: It is possible the small \"spring\" may be weak .. probably a hardware store item.

**PleaseNote.. the permanent Blaze Orange Capat endof Barrel
Meets All Federal Safety Regulations
and rules and is attached as part of the toygun**

**History of the \"Real\" M1903 Springfield Rifle:
It was officially adopted as a United States military bolt-action rifle on June 19, 1903,
and saw service in World War I. It was officially replaced as the standard infantry rifle
by the faster-firing semi-automatic 8 round M1 Garand starting in 1937.
However, the M1903 Springfield remained in service as a standard issue infantry rifle
during World War II, since the U.S. entered the war without sufficient M1 rifles
to arm all troops. It also remained in service as a sniper rifle during World War II,
the Korean War, and even in the early stages of the Vietnam War.
and are still in use today
even for DRILL TEAMS like the one on the movie A FEW GOOD MEN ***
And the last 30 minutes of the old Si-Fi \"THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU\"
THE MORE I LOOK, THE MORE I SEE THE SPRINGFIELD RIFLE USED
IN LOTS OF MOVIES & TV SHOWS EVEN McHales Navy & Black Sheep Squadren!!!

I also haveother items and Vintage Toys listed on -
including a toy child\'s Army Helmet. Toy Dog Tags, Metal Toy Army Cannon etc.
Also \"Real\" Vintage Army Patches...
