Description:

This sale is for a great vintage, if not antique quilt top that surely dates to the late 1800s or very early 1900s ~ perfect for the quilter, decorator or the collector. This and other items we now have listed have been purchased at the recent rural Kansas estate sale. This listing:

was found at a farm sale

shown on a full size bed

perfectly hand pieced

done in a double nine patch block design set on point

the accent fabric is all the same shirting print of blue and white

has not been laundered so no fraying threads on the backside

fabric surely dates to the late 1800s and very early 1900s and include morning prints, blue indigo, clarets, turkey reds and more

the blocks are 10 1/2 inches by 10 1/2 inches

the top measures 76 by 91 inches

the only flaws noted were a couple of tiny age specks and a yellow spot in one corner ~ see photo 5 ~ very faint and hard to see

cotton fabric yardage ~ no feedsack fabric noted ~ pre feedsack era

appears to have been created and tucked away and forgotten

perfect project for the quilter to complete

straight from the sale

no odors noted

I have not laundered
