This is a rare, beautifully restored antique \"Red Star\" Model 303 Copper and Brass Fire Extinguisher. The antique has been polished to a mirror finish and shines beautifully. In addition to removing the century of tarnish and age from the copper and brass, I have also restored the high gloss red enamel paint to the extinguisher so that its condition on the exterior of the antique extinguisher is as it was when it came out of the factory. This antique is a Model 303 and was created by \"The General Detroit Corporation\" with manufacturing locations noted in Chicago, Detroit, and New York.
Please look at the photographs. I have provided as many as possible and from different angles. This extinguisher is nearly a century old as the Underwriter\'s Laboratories Inc., serial number dates this beauty to 1902. Being that old and a tool to fight fires, this antique is in very good condition, I have removed nearly a century of tarnish and restored the enamel paint to make this look beautiful, but it is not perfect or mint. It has a few small blemishes but the photographs tell the true story on the condition. Needless to say, this antique will be the centerpiece of any collection.
As for the specifics, this antique\'s rivets are polished and in good condition. The bronze cap is also restored and shined. The hose and its connectors are in very good condition. The copper body and brass embossed plates are shined to a minor finish and in very good shape. Finally, this antique is EMPTY. The internal ingredients are no longer present and the extinguisher is deactivated. Just to repeat, this antique extinguisher is EMPTY. Please feel free to ask any questions.
