This is a Bessemer No. 312 series C air compressor built by the Bessemer Gas Engine CO in Grove City PA. they were in business from 1899-1929 until they merged with another company. This one came out of the Slabtown PA feed mill it was originally on awater driven jack shaft until the mill wasconverted to electric in the mid1930\'s it still pumps air the drive wheel is 24\" dia. the lag bolts pictured are the original ones that held it to the mill floor.
