Vintage Antique Victorian Large Gold Gilt Engraved Swallow Bird Locket NecklaceThis stunning antique necklace and pendant originates from the late Victorian era.

The pendant is a large locket, it is weighty and really makes a statement

Made of gold/brass/gilt tone metal which has a lovely deep antiqued patina. The locket has an amazing pin wheel and flower detailed border and is engraved on the front with a swallow bird sitting on a branch

The back of the locket is smooth and undecorated

Inside the locket features 1 original frames which holds an old photo of a lady, this can be removed and you can put your own photos inside.

Opens and closes securely, clicks shut tightly to protect the precious items inside.

Comes on a long gold tone link chain so the locket is ready to wear

The necklace chain is 20\" in length (long) and the pendant measures 4.2 cms tall without the bail, 5.2 cms tall with the bail.

The locket is 3.3 cms wide and 1.2 cms deep.

A gorgeous item in good vintage condition with minimal age related wear, tarnish and surface scratches as to be expected from an item which is over 100 years old

We provide descriptions which include the sizes and dimensions of the item, and use of descriptive pictures from a variety of angles. Please note that pictures and photographs on the internet can sometimes give a misleading look to the colour and size, etc, depending on screen settings. Please make sure you read the description to be clear about the item specifics.

All vintage items are cleaned and sanitized before we sell them. However, for your own piece of mind we suggest that on arrival of your order you use your own method of sanitizing at home before wearing your new pieces.

Vintage goods need to be carefully looked after to retain their beauty. We can not be held liable for any defect in the goods arising from wear and tear, willful damage, accident and/or negligence.

For all our items listed under £50 postage is FAST AND FREE in the UK!

For UK customers items under £50 will be sent 1st Class recorded Delivery, items over £50 will be sent Next Day Special Delivery

For overseas customers all items are sent by Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed For, fully insured.

A tracking number is obtained for every order.

If you are an overseas buyer who buys multiple items you can request an invoice from us and we will combine postage for you.

International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to offerding or buying.

Additional Information

We are aware that it can sometimes be tricky to gauge a product on line. With most of the items we sell being vintage and therefore being pre-owned, we take every precaution to describe the items in the written description and through the use of photographs. If for any reason you wish to see further detail for an item, please don’t hesitate to contact us prior to making the purchase and we will happily assist you.

If you wish to return an item for an reason, please do not open an case against us, we will process your refund and ensure you have the correct return address much quicker if you simply send us a message to inform us that you wish to return the item. All goods much be returned in the condition the were sent, with original packaging. We are not liable to pay or refund any postage costs. Return postage will only be paid if the item has been mis-described. Please send the item back via the method used to send it to you (Royal Mail Signed For 1st Class or Next Day Special Delivery)

If you return an item from overseas please be aware that you are liable for any customs charges that we incur for receiving back your item. We will provide a receipt for this and deduct the amount from your refund.

We cannot accept liability for goods that go missing or are damaged in transit. We will of course, assist you the best we can, and provide you with all the information you need to make a claim for your missing item with Royal Mail.

Damaged goods in the post must be reported to Dear Rose, With Love within 24 hours of arrival of the goods (within 24 hours of your signature for the parcel). After this time we cannot accept responsibility for damage reported. If your item is damaged please send a photograph to us with your initial email, including a photograph of packaging if you believe the item to have been damaged in the post to help us with a Royal Mail claim. If you notice damage to the parcel prior to signing for it, then please do not sign for it and have it redirected back to us by the return address on the parcel.
