Folllowing a move to Cornwall, I began to dispose of many items collected over the years which included lots of jewellery amongst which there were a lot of vintage beads. Over many years I have often made my own designs for necklaces, bracelets and earings (for pierced ears) to match particular outfits. I have used these skills to create a \"something old, something new\" concept in which I take old beads and if necessary put them through a sonic cleaning process and remodel them into a vintage style design using new earwires and new findings (although I do recycle old findings too, when I can but the ear wires are always new). I do not use anything acrylic only glass beads. The only faux pearls I use are the glass ones, again vintage. However, I do also use cultured, freshwater and baroque pearls too in various shades, including black. You will also find some of my designs include semi precious stones such as Apatite, Aragonite, Amethyst, Blue Lace Agate, Carnelian, Coral, Hemmatite, Jade, Lapis Lazul, Malacite, Opalite & Rose Quartz. I am always on the look out for appropriate materials to use. I do use a lot of vintage Czech Swarovski Crystals. The ear wires are silver plated to keep my prices to the lower end of similar products but for anyone wanting 925 silver ear wires, I can supply them at £2.00 extra (just ask me before paying so that I can adjust the listing). Each design is a \"one of and hand made\" which although I may do a similar version no two designs are ever quite the same. Since the beads are vintage, there may be small flaws when you scrutinise them, but nothing which would be noticeable to others when you are wearing them. Also with baroque and freshwater pearls you will not get an exact match but I endeavour to ensure they are as close a match as I can achieve. I take my photos in natural light. The prices may vary but this reflects the value of the beads, pearls etc and the degree of work involved in producing the design. Should you lose an earing, if you return the one you have left I will endeavour to make you a match, for a small fee. If you prefer them as stud ear rings, send me a message with your payment and I will alter them for you. I will repair any of my earrings that get broken for free, I just ask you to send a sae for its return to you.
