Beautiful vintage Art Deco or Art Nouveau French cut steel beaded purse with a subtle gold and silver trefoil design. The gilded frame has a delicate floral design with added twisted strings of beading on the edge (one string of beads is broken on one side) and a press button closure. Attached chain handle has an 8\" drop. At the bottom the purse has a 3 inch long latticework fringe. The purse itself measures (excluding the fringe drop) measures 9 1/4\" x 7 1/4\". The inside lining had two layers originally - the muslin lining is intact with a little coin purse attached on one side.The primary patterned taupe silk lining is quite worn and has been hand mended. The purse is impress marked on the inside of the gilded frame \"Made in France\" with a tiny hallmark. Aside from the noted broken string of beads on the frame, there doesn\'t appear to be any missing beads.
