This is a beautiful sterling silver Art Deco period circa 1930\'s Scottish Iona marble and Cairngorm citrine brooch.The lovely stones are crescent shaped sections of green and white marbles from the Isle of Iona on the west coast.The marble used to be mined in the 1950\'s, but has since closed making these desirable and rare stones. The central stone is a lovely facetted brandy citrine from the Cairngorm mountain range which has been fully tested by a local jeweller to confirm it is a genuine citrine.
The brooch has a sterling silver stamp on the back. The brooch width is 3.0 cm ( One and a fifth inches ) and the pin and C clasp are original and in good working condition.
