This is from my personal collection. I have collected Southwestern jewelry since the 1970\'s. The Bell Trading Company was foundedin Albuquerque,New Mexico in 1932 by Jack Michelson and his wife Mildred. They sold Native American Indian jewelry at varioustourist locations in the southwesternUnited States until 1972. The Bell company got its name from Jack’s wife, whose maiden namewas Bell. Over the years numerous hallmarks wereused on items sold by Bell Trading. The hallmarks typically included the image ofa bell or that of an arrow sign post with a bell sign hangingfrom it. The turquoise stone is mounted on a heavy foundation of sterlingsilver. The ring features a split band which is more difficult to mount than a singleband. I have hand polished this ring with a softcloth to a brilliant shine. That is the beauty of sterling silver, it will become dark and can be polishedback to a brilliant shine time after time.
