This beautiful porcelain urn shaped lamp with handles features a young boy and girl sitting across from each other separated by the lamp handle which has a basket of flowers on top.The background is white and is adorned with a chartreuse light green filigree pattern and highlighted with gold paint. The main flowers are intricate roses with delicate pink petals and gold paint accents.There also smaller flowers of different colors. The lamp comes with the original fabric lamp shade and is a yellow- cream color and has a gold beaded border.
The Benrose company imported fine porcelain pieces from Italy with the Benrose brand added to them. Capodimonte has evolved into perceived style rather a particular manufacturer.

Benrose utilized the best Italian porcelain manufacturers, and they were not permitted to to add their company markings. Benrose owned the design rights and the molds.

This is mid century lamp and due to age and having intricate flowers and designs, there are chips on some of the delicate petal borders. With time some areas of gold trim have faded.

The lamp shade also has some darkening of the fabric adjacent to the metal supports, but there are no tears or rips. These defects are easy to miss, but are visible in the photos when

you click to enlarge them. The cord has been repaired and the lamp is in working condition
