Up for sale is my Vintage Bernina Sport 801 Sewing Machine. I purchased this from a friend about 15 years ago and have used it as a second machine and a portable machine for class and quilting retreats. This is a nice, smaller sized machine with all the power of the big machines. All Mechanical it will sew through multiple layers of canvas and denim. The machine works perfectly and has been well maintained by me while I have owned it. It has been regularly cleaned by a Bernina service technician. All of the stitches work at they should including the 5 step button hole. The motor is strong. This machine takes the older style feet. I have been using my 1008 feet and they work perfectly. All of the buttons and knobs move as they should. The stitching action is smooth. The foot control is new and is also interchangeable with the 1008. My sewing machine shop extended the original power cord so I didn\'t have to use an extension cord. On the last service they did upgrade the light bulb to LED. I think it is an aftermarket bulb. It doesn\'t fit as good as the original. If I were keeping it I would change back to a standard bulb. These are readily available. Prior to my ownership the machine did get some scratches mostly on the bobbin case door and some on the red control panel decal. There is also some yellowing on the plastic parts. I really like this machine but I am in the process of downsizing my work room so I can get down to one machine. Also included is a copy of the original manual on CD. Overall this is a great machine and should give the next owner many more years of trouble free service.This comes from my smoke free and pet free home. It has no unusual or funky odors.
