Up for offer - BERNZ O MATIC Model FD136 Fire Detector Air Horn Alarmwith it\'s originalWALL MOUNT. This was used in the 50\'s and 60\'s as a fire detection alarm. Theidea wasif it got too hot, 136 degrees,to melt the metal contact solderbetween the top of the compressed air bottle and the loop, then then bottle will release the air through the horn and make a very loud fire alarm for the people to hear and get out. Says on bottle FOR LOCAL AREAS ONLY. Temperature rating is 136 degrees Farenheit. That is the point that it melts the metal connector to release the compressed air. You can shake the can and feel the liquid compressed substance inside. After the bottle would empty, the horn would tip forward, releasing the lever that changed the front of the wall mount fromgreen to orange that says to replace the unit.The seal has never been broken so this alarm is probably still functional, but since there is no way to test, I can notguarantee that it is. The Wall Mount measures 7\" wide, 9\" tall an 3-1/2\" deep.I have 4 of these to list and seem to have been installed previous so there is some dust and some staining on their labels as well as some light rust on the mounts, see photos.If you purchase more than one, use the shopping cart when paying to combine shipping. - 100% price return if not satisfied with your purchase
