I believe this item to be new in box. I removed it only to inspect for damage and to make sure the glass was not cracked or chipped in a way that was not visible. I gave it a light dusting when I removed it with a clean paper towel. Item is in perfect condition as far as I can tell. It did not appear to have been opened before and was difficult to remove when I took it out to inspect. Box is very fragile. Top flap fell off when I was removing the lantern. I am including all pieces, but I like to represent honestly; the top flap was still attached when I first photographed.
