Vintage Black Cat Bookends Japan Red Clay w/pen holder:

This is for a set of Black Cat bookends that have pen holders on it. They were made in Japan. Made of Red Clay. Each bookend stands 6 1/2\" tall. 3 1/4\" long and 2\" deep. They are in good condition. One of the bookends has a piece broken off of the pen holder. You can see it in one of the pics. The other bookend has a chip in the top of the book, a wear spot on the bottom of the book and a chip on the book that is the base. On the back of the head there is a white spot, it looks like a the paint is chipped and showing the white color underneath. There is no felt or covering on the bottom of the piece. There is what looks like paint wear on the gold colored paint used on the bowtie, or it could have been badly painted during production.
