Not for the superstitious collector, but great find for the figural salt and pepper collector or black cats for Halloween. This Black Cat teapot salt and pepper dates to the 1950s and is clean and in excellent usable condition. The paint is original and looks like it was never used. The cat has the signature painting of red ears, green eyes and a red bow. This set measures 2-1/2 inches high Luster color glaze is bright and shiny and amazingly without scratches. Cold painted eyes and bow are intact condition without chips or scratches on the pottery part. Made by the Shafford Company of Japan.
