Fantastic vintage 1920s enameled cast iron grotesque dolphin or sea urchin fountain spout. The green enameled mask-like face for a wall mounted garden fountain measures 9 1/4\" height X 11\" wide X 3 1/4\" deep.
This piece is unmarked. It is solid cast iron manufactured by an unknown maker.
The condition is quite good. There is a chip in the green enamel at the top point, on the left edge, as pictured. Also, a minor enamel flake on the right eye hole and some other very insignificant other enamel chips. There is some normal wear to the bottom lip from running water.
