Description

Diminutive cup of .900 made in Cairo, likely mid 1960s. Great for sipping wine or a generous shot.

SIZE: About 2 5/16\" tall. Base diameter is 1 3/4\". Top diameter is slightly larger at about 2\".

MARKS: Egyptian hallmarks on base as shown in photo. Egyptian hallmarks can be hard to decipher. I believe first mark on the left is the assay mark for Cairo and the silver standard mark for .900 silver. The center mark is the national lotus mark used post 1946 and the final mark on the right is the date mark in Arabic. I believe it is a date mark from the mid-1960s, but they can be hard to read, so please look at the photo and judge for yourself.

CONDITION: Vintage item. Expect light tarnish. Some polish remain in deep recesses of the scarab. Otherwise, just expect very minor surface wear from normal use.
