Vintage CASPER \"The Friendly Ghost\" HAND PAINTED ANIMATION CELL

This is a vintage, hand-painted production/animation cell of Harvey Comic\'s famous \"Casper The Friendly Ghost\".

I received this cell from my employer in New York City in 1987. The cell was created in the 1970s by Hanna-Barbera. It was part of a large collection of vintage hand painted cells that the advertising company I worked for owned. They received these original animation cells from Hanna-Barbera.

This Casper cell was used for one of Hanna-Barbera\'s 1970s Casper projects: \"Casper\'s First Christmas\", \"Casper\'s Halloween Special\" or the Saturday morning cartoon series \"Casper and the Angels\" which premiered on NBC in 1979.

The entire cell measures approx. 10 1/2\" wide x 11 3/4\" high and Casper measures approx. 5 3/4\" wide x 4 1/8\" high. On the front of cell, Casper is drawn in black ink and on the back of the cell he is hand painted in bright white paint.

(Note: the photos I took of this cell are not the best. It was hard to photograph it without getting light flashing and shadows. The large darker areas in the clear section are just shadows and do not appear on the actual cell). The cell is actually very clear with Casper being very white.

The clear area of the cell has a few tiny dots of white paint the size of a pen point. There are also a few small areas that look like tape or glue residue and there is some very light scratches. Some of this may be removed with a proper cleaning. All of these areas are only visible when holding the cell up to a light or looking at it very closely.

Casper himself is in excellent condition with no scratching, smudges or dirt.

This cell is in the same condition as when I acquired it back in 1987. I had it in a frame for a few years, but then I kept it in storage until now. It does not come with any background art, frame or documentation.

I will be saleing off other hand painted Hanna-Barbera cells from this collection in the very near future.

TERMS FOR RETURNING sale ITEMS

If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me after receiving your merchandise.

I will accept returns as long as there is a good reason for the return.

All items must be returned to me in the condition that I originally sent them.

If they are not, you will not receive a refund.

Once I have received the returned item(s) from the buyer, I will refund your winning offer, minus the original shipping cost.

The refund will only be made through PayPal.

The Buyer must pay for the return shipping costs, plus the Delivery Confirmation fee.

Postal Insurance must also be paid for items that are fragile or over $50.00.
