The brass scale on the front is graduated in 1/4 oz. increments from zero to 16 oz. (or 1 pound) for heavier measurements up to 10 lbs. additional balance weights will be required. (1) 1lb weight will be included. Not currently balanced. The 9\" round top plates screw off to access the calibration weight compartment - the right side has balancing shot inside. The thread on the right side is worn and weakly hold the pan in place. It is secure enough to hold plate in place, but I would not lift it from the plate or it will lift right off. Plates will be removed as shown to facilitate shipping. Will be carefully packaged to ensure safe shipping.
