Vintage Cherub Lamp

Very shabby chic cherub lamp.This pretty piece looks great...very romantic and over the top. It starts out on the bottom with a pretty gold metal base and that is topped with gray and white marble. Then there isglass at the cherub\'s feet, and the cherub holds up another glass piece...on top of which is a bobeche and prisms. There are 8 holes for prisms, but this lamp came with just3 prisms. Now you can get some more prisms yourself - they are widely available. Youcould even put in colored prisms. If you are prism-challenged I can supply you with prisms - they look different than these but they are vintage and quite lovely (write me if you are interested - look at the last photo on the right to see what they look like - I would charge you a little extra for 8 of these). I have tested the lamp and it workswell...it\'s a 3-way lamp. The electrical cords is in good condition with no damage. You will need a harp and shade of course (I don\'t have either for this piece). Measurements.This lamp is 20\" high. The base is just about 5 3/4\" wide. Condition (on a scale of poor, fair, good, very good, excellent) is very good. The gold base has minor wear to the finish. The cherub probably had more finish and that has largely worn off but he looks fabulous to me.

When problems happen! 1) One thing that comes up occasionally is that a purchase is received and it isn\'t the size you imagined it would be. Before purchasing check the measurements in the listing, being sure it is the size you want...use a ruler to envision the true size...relying on just the photos can be misleading. 2)And please, if you have any problem whatsoever with your purchasejust send me a message - before or after the sale. I carefully package each item myself and use hard styrofoam sheets, bubble wrap, peanuts, and newspaper to do the job right. I use new boxes and also recycle older boxes and materials to be as green as possible.

If you don\'t like my price, write and offer me what you\'d like to pay. I may accept your offer, or perhaps suggest a compromise....it never hurts to ask!

I try hard to represent my items as accurately and honestly as possible - damage and shortcomings too. Most of my goods are used, whether they are merely older, or vintage, or a fabulous antique - but they are used. Keep this in mind when considering a purchase - there will be imperfections and signs of wear to one degree or another. If you prefer an item with no blemishes and that is new, I kindly and politely suggest you purchase at a department store or a shopping mall. So unless I say the item is new, pristine, or mint - it\'s used. These items have a history, and actually that is why I love them!
